TMA’S fleet
expansion with its 14th aircraft came close to become effective in a
week’s time before the end of the year with the arrival of the latest
DHC-6-300.
The ex-Aeropelican
Air Services Ltd.
Australia aircraft with the registration VH-KZN landed last night at Malé
International Airport with Ferry Captain Robert-Ambrose in command. He
flew TMA’s future 8Q-TMP from Bankstown near Sydney Australia via the
Cocos Island in 3 days to the Maldives.
The aircraft was
immediately after completing customs formalities taken into the hangar
for the necessary modifications before it will be submitted on floats
for its Maldivian Certificate of Airworthiness. The aircraft will be put
into operation early 2006 with only the tail repainted with the TMA-logo and
name plus the new 8Q-TMP registration and for the time being will also
remain equipped with the sheep skin seats from Australia!
