Greenery and flowers have always been a special aspect of Machafushi Island Resort & Spa.

The central garden and large pond provided lots of flowers for room and table decorations.

Three options for accommodation were available as the choice : Garden, Beach and Water Bungalows.

The Resort has always been a diver’s paradise with many sites nearby.

The majority of guests were at least daily going on one of the many diving trips.

Besides diving other water sports such as sailing, surfing and swimming could also be done.

Machafushi has some nice, soft, white sand beaches and lagoons for sunbathing, relaxing and swimming.

Besides the lagoon Machafushi had its own swimming pool as well.

Music was always an ingredient the Meddufushi owner Mr. Adam Maniku liked to add to the flavour of his Resort Isand.

Drinks and live music on the beach and around the pool marked the end of an active diving and swimming day.

 
The friendly waiters would deliver drinks anywhere, where guest liked to enjoy their cocktail hour.

 
After sunset music and drinks would continue to accompany the diners, while the owner would even accompany the band occasionally himself playing the drums.

 
Finally as sun sets over the current Machafushi, we can wait the opening of its successor next year.
