On Thursday 10th August one of our  valued customers, the John Keells Group of Colombo, Sri Lanka, launched their new “Chaaya” brand in the Maldives with the rebranding of their Hakuraa Club Resort into “Chaaya Lagoon Hakuraa Huraa”.

The Deputy Minister of Tourism Mr. Abdul Hameed Zakariya officiated at the event as did the Deputy Chairman of the John Keells Group Mr. Ajith Gunawardana and a number of invitees. All 30 guests were flown in a 2 TMA-Charters for the day and welcomed upon arrival by a Bodu Beru Band in a Dhoni.

On the walk along the long jetty into the Resort various traditional skills and trade were shown for the guests.
